Profession: Fire Protection Technician (firefighter with operational work) is a professional person.

The profession "Fire Protection Technician" will develop technical and tactical skills in fire protection and fire extinguishing in the trainees, the training focuses in particular on the elaboration of technical and tactical procedures on planning, organization, norms, regulations, fire protection and fire extinguishing procedures. From the various modules in the field of emergency management and with a special focus on fire protection, candidates acquire the necessary theoretical and practical knowledge on the norms and regulations of protection, fire extinguishing and build skills and abilities, which enable them to successfully confront fire extinguishing problems in terms of fire management and fire protection.

Upon completion of the training, the trainee will be able to:

• Handle all personal and shared firefighting tools and equipment;

• Apply appropriate techniques and adapt them to the conditions and circumstances presented in the field by adapting them to the most appropriate means;

• Encourage his internal potential for continuous research towards new, more effective and efficient solutions and consider continuous education and professional advancement necessary for the work he does;

• Apply effective and necessary tactics to the circumstances and conditions presented in the field by giving priority to rescue and protection;

• Demonstrate courage and initiative in taking responsibility for protection and rescue in the management of various emergencies;

• Show self-control in the exercise of his activities in the context of independence in decision-making;

• Organize his learning process correctly and demonstrate readiness and willingness for lifelong learning;

• To respect the principles of teamwork and to actively cooperate with other teams in achieving the agreed objectives;

• To make assessments and self-assessments based on fair criteria as a basis for improving and furthering achievements;
