Biznesi College Involvement in the LO@HEI Project
Kolegji Biznesi actively participated in the LO@HEI project— “Encouraging the process of curriculum development based on learning outcomes and research-guided teaching in the private higher education institutions of Kosovo”— a TEMPUS IV-funded initiative (European Commission, EACEA 25/2011) implemented from 15 October 2012 to 14 October 2014.
Project Objectives
- Defining learning outcomes descriptors aligned with the National Qualifications Framework (NQF) and the European Qualifications Framework (EQF) for business-related study programs at levels 6 and 7
- Enhancing teaching methodologies through a learning outcomes-based approach
- Promoting research-guided teaching to integrate academic research into classroom instruction
- Developing key indicators to monitor and benchmark research and development (R&D) activities
- Reviewing curricula to meet labor market demands and improve graduate employability
- Strengthening cooperation between private higher education institutions and enterprises
- Improving career guidance services for students
Role of Biznesi College
- Integrating learning outcomes-based approaches in course design and delivery
- Promoting research-guided teaching within its academic programs
- Collaborating with other Kosovo private HEIs, European partner universities, and national authorities to standardize qualifications and academic quality
- Supporting career guidance initiatives to enhance students’ professional readiness
- Participating in monitoring and evaluation of R&D indicators across participating institutions
Project Impact
Through its involvement in LO@HEI, Biznesi College strengthened its academic standards, curriculum development processes, and research capabilities, while fostering international cooperation and alignment with European higher education frameworks. The project contributed to enhancing the College’s capacity to provide high-quality education responsive to both student needs and labor market requirements.

Biznesi College Participation in QA@PHEP
Kolegji Biznesi actively participated in the QA@PHEP project— “Supporting and Developing the Structures for Quality Assurance (QA) at Private Higher Education Institutions in Kosovo”— a TEMPUS IV-funded initiative implemented from January 2010 to January 2012. The project aimed to strengthen and institutionalize quality assurance systems at private higher education institutions in Kosovo, addressing a top national priority for the Ministry of Education, Science, and Technology (MEST).
Project Objectives
- Establishing and strengthening QA structures at participating institutions, including dedicated personnel and administrative frameworks
- Implementing self-assessment procedures to monitor and improve academic and administrative performance
- Organizing regular QA activities, such as Quality Assurance Days, workshops, and training sessions
- Raising awareness among staff and students about the importance of quality assurance in teaching, learning, and administration
- Improving administrative processes and academic practices to ensure compliance with national and European higher education standards
Role of Biznesi College
- Establishing internal QA structures and procedures aligned with European and Kosovo standards
- Participating in self-assessment and evaluation activities to identify strengths and areas for improvement
- Collaborating with EU partner universities—University of Salzburg, University College Cork, and University Politehnica of Bucharest—for guidance, mentoring, and expertise
- Engaging academic and administrative staff in training programs and workshops to build capacity in quality assurance
- Contributing to the development of QA materials, guidelines, and tools for institutional use
- Promoting a culture of quality awareness within the College to enhance teaching, learning, and student services
Project Impact
Through its participation in QA@PHEP, Biznesi College significantly enhanced its quality assurance systems, including policies, processes, and personnel capacity. The project fostered a culture of continuous improvement, ensuring higher standards in both academic and administrative operations. Participation also strengthened the College’s alignment with national and European quality frameworks, positioning it as a leading private higher education institution in Kosovo.
