As
part of the activities of Biznesi Summer School 2026, students
from the Master's Programme in Emergency Management at Biznesi
College conducted a study visit to the Professional
Fire and Rescue Unit in Kaçanik to gain first-hand insight into the
organization, operations, and responsibilities of emergency response services.
During
the visit, students were welcomed by the management and professional staff of
the unit, who presented its organizational structure, operational
responsibilities, and coordination mechanisms for responding to fires, natural
disasters, traffic accidents, and other emergency situations.
Students
had the opportunity to become familiar with specialized firefighting and rescue
equipment, emergency response vehicles, standard operating procedures, incident
management practices, operational planning, and the importance of interagency
cooperation in emergency management. Through practical demonstrations and
professional discussions, participants gained valuable insight into the
challenges and responsibilities associated with the firefighting and rescue
profession.
The
study visit was conducted in the presence of Assist. Prof. Dr. Rushan
Ceka, who accompanied the students throughout the activity and
contributed to professional discussions on emergency preparedness, interinstitutional
coordination, and effective response to emergency situations. The visit enabled
students to connect the theoretical knowledge acquired during their studies
with the real-world practices of the Professional Fire and Rescue Unit, further
strengthening their understanding of emergency management and public safety.
The
study visit to the Professional Fire and Rescue Unit in Kaçanik
represents another important activity within Biznesi Summer School 2026,
reflecting Biznesi College's commitment to practice-oriented
education and strengthening cooperation with public institutions in support of
students' professional development.
