Emergency Management (MA)

Aim and objectives:

The purpose of the study program, "Emergency Management" (MA), is to prepare students to independently anticipate, compile, plan and organize preventive measures for protection, emergency response, development of operations, relief and recovery for emergency situations, at the country level or even for international missions.

Academic and Professional Education – Ability to master advanced theoretical and practical knowledge in emergency management. Graduates will be able to practice professionally in the field of Emergency Management at an advanced level.
Advanced Scientific Research – Ability to conduct in-depth and interdisciplinary scientific research in the field of emergencies. Graduates will organize or participate at an advanced level in scientific research while applying ethical norms and research principles.
Advanced Problem Solving in Emergency Management – Ability to apply advanced managerial and emergency-related knowledge. Graduates will apply advanced management and emergency science knowledge for the professional handling of complex emergency situations.
Advanced Problem Analysis – Ability to identify, analyze, and solve complex emergency management problems. Graduates will identify problems, analyze relevant literature, and resolve complex emergency management issues using scientific and practical principles.
Design and Development of Solutions – Ability to design systems, processes, and solutions for emergency management. Graduates will design and evaluate solutions, systems, and processes that meet public service needs while considering social, cultural, and environmental aspects.
Use of Modern Emergency Management Tools – Ability to use contemporary technologies, instruments, and platforms in emergency management. Graduates will create, adapt, and apply modern emergency management tools while understanding their limitations.
Individual Work and Team Leadership – Ability to act independently and lead multidisciplinary teams in emergency situations. Graduates will function effectively as individuals and as members or leaders of multidisciplinary teams in emergency management.
Professional Communication in Emergencies – Ability to communicate clearly and effectively in critical situations. Graduates will communicate professionally with institutions, the public, and stakeholders by preparing reports, documentation, and professional presentations.
